SA: Car companies to take some time to restart assembly lines =2

Later Ms Teesdale said much would depend on whether or not Tristar worked a full night
shift today.

Although she said the company had informed Ford that it would probably take three days
for deliveries to the carmaker to resume.

"If that was the case it's more likely that we would not be able to start work again
until Monday," she said.

"We don't want to keep our people away from work any longer than absolutely necessary
but we can't start until we have supplies."

Ms Teesdale said Ford would not start engine production earlier because it already
had stockpiles after running the Geelong engine facility a day longer than the car assembly
line.
