NSW: Pet euthanasia products stolen from pound, police warn
Police warn that animal euthanasia products stolen from a New South Wales south-coast
pound may be fatal for humans as well as pets.
Lake Illawarra Police Sergeant MARK WALKER says the products, used to euthanase animals,
were stolen during an overnight break-in at Albion Park, near Wollongong.
He says the products are lethal to both animals and humans, even in small doses.
Police are concerned that whoever has the veterinary products may have no idea how
lethal they can be.
Anyone who comes into contact with the medication or poisons with which they are unfamiliar
should contact their local police station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
