NSW: Three teenagers dead after car hit tree
SYDNEY, Dec 7 AAP - Two fourteen-year-old boys and an 18-year-old are dead after alearner driver's car hit a tree in northern NSW early today.
The crash happened on the outskirts of Kyogle, about 40km north-west of Lismore, andall the teenager were from Kyogle, police said.
The front-seat passenger, aged 18, and the two younger boys in the back seat were trappedin the Ford Falcon sedan and died at the scene.
Police said the 16-year-old driver suffered only minor injuries and freed himself toreach a nearby property to call for help.
He was later taken to Kyogle Hospital and was admitted and crash investigators fromBallina police station hope to interview him in the next few days.
The single-vehicle crash happened on West Wiangaree Road at Geneva just outside Kyoglebetween 4.30am and 5.30am (AEDT).
